Our visit to Taroko National Park on Taiwan’s east coast was one of the most awe-inspiring experiences we’ve ever had as a family. The moment we entered the park, the scale of nature was humbling—towering marble cliffs, winding tunnels carved through rock, and the sound of the Liwu River echoing through the gorge. Walking along the trails of Taroko Gorge, we were surrounded by sheer walls that seemed to stretch endlessly upward, their smooth, white surfaces streaked with silver and green from the moss and waterfalls. Every bend in the path revealed something new: a suspension bridge swaying over the river, shrines tucked into cliffs, and the sunlight cutting through the mist like something out of a painting.

The park’s beauty carried a quiet power that left us in awe. We stopped often to simply take it all in—watching the river rush below, listening to the wind weave through the trees, and feeling a sense of peace that only places like Taroko can bring. It was both a reminder of nature’s strength and its serenity. After a day of exploring, we left feeling refreshed and connected—not just to the landscape, but to each other. Taroko wasn’t just a destination; it was an experience that reminded us how small we are in the face of such incredible natural wonder.
