During our trip to Costa Rica, we visited Corcovado National Park,
a biodiversity hotspot that contains 2.5% of the world’s entire biodiversity —
an incredible number for such a small country.
The trip was full of adventure: kayaking, paddle boarding, and hiking —
although what we expected to be sunny turned into days of heavy rain.

We learned a lot about biology — especially about bees and their crucial role in ecosystems,
and about sea turtles and their life cycles.

After the trip, I realized how a single organism can impact an entire ecosystem.
Costa Rica was an unforgettable and inspiring place to explore.
